Earlier this week I received the incredible honour of becoming a Canadian.
I am extremely grateful for the opportunities that have led to this moment. As with any process in life, it takes a lot of grit and perseverance, something my family doesn’t lack an ounce of.
It's been 7 years of big ups and downs. Arriving in a new country at 18 comes with many challenges. Adapting to a new culture, lifestyle and food is never easy especially as you are forming your own ideas and expectations of life. I was set to work in the film and help tell stories of even bigger adventures. That’s exactly what Canada has offered, a chance to be part of bigger things. Giving me the space to try and express ideas. In a country with order, trust and honesty. Divided in the topics that in the grand scheme of things rarely matter.
I am now a proud Canadian. Growing up I never thought I would receive this honour. Slowly I will learn what that means and always have the big intentions to be a good representation.
Hopefully, I can help make the food better. As I have mentioned, Brazilians have big opinions about what good food should taste like. So Canada, let us help you with a good food makeover. You have good and fresh ingredients you just need some help combining them. You just gained 5 food critics that are very willing to explore and try new things. Your Iced Caps and Timbits wont cut it anymore. We say this with lots of love.
Thank you Canada for trusting us with this honour. You have gained 5 very emotional and active people. We will be there mopping the ice rinks, pushing tech innovations, building our communities, creating new movies, and excelling at sports and science. I know this because you have already allowed us to start this mission. We have only given you a glimpse of what we can do.
You are the best!! Keeping being you! 😍❤️🥰
Congrats my sweet Trilliza, you deserve this and much more, keep on going and never stop dreaming! Love u💕
